Meeting with local community
All in all, there were 7 meetings with local communities organized in the fourth quarter of 2014.
They took place in Trzebniów, Niegowonice, Suliszowice, Ludwinów, Gorzków Nowy, Ryczów, and Smoleń. During the meetings, the participants had the chance to familiarize themselves with the Project actions carried out in the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland thanks to multimedia presentations prepared by the Project staff. The second part of the meetings involved a discussion panel which touched upon issues such as the financing scheme of the Project, and the results of the actions carried up to that point in the area of four Natura 2000 refugia, i.e the Olsztyn-Mirów refugium, the Złoty Potok refugium, the Kroczyce refugium and the Środkowa Jura refugium.
The questions asked by the participants were connected with the realization of the actions: C.1 Removal of brushwood, C.3 Animal grazing, and C.10 Regulating tourist traffic.
The meetings allowed the town residents to raise their ecological awareness and showed them that the areas of the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland are valuable in terms of nature and landscape and that embracing them with protection and conservation is important. The participants were served refreshments.
