SVLPC’s project on the protection of the Orle Gniazda Landscape Park habitats received EU grant as a part of the LIFE+ Financial Instrument. The project got the highest score from among all the project proposals concerning nature all over Europe.

7. Educational workshop with scouts from Zawiercie District

On 28^th of January 2014 the members of the project staff have organized workshop for children and youth from Związek Harcerstwa Polskiego Chorągwi Śląskiej – Hufiec Ziemi Zawierciańskiej (Zawiercie scouts) as a part of the educational framework of the project. Participants of the workshop were taught about the objectives of LIFE+ project LIFE11 NAT/PL/432. Scouts have been informed about threats posed by human activity in natural environment. Moreover, they were informed about restoring natural landscape of the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland.

Project NAT/PL/432 “Protection of valuable natural non-forest habitats typical of the Orle Gniazda Landscape Park” is co-financed by the European Economic Community as a part of the LIFE+ Financial Instrument for the Environment and by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Warsaw.
